Pain is an unpleasant sensation with physical and emotional components, usually associated with current or past tissue damage. Pain can be acute, such as that from an injury or a surgery, and is usually treated with pain medication, and tends to resolve as the injured body part heals. Highly problematic and bothersome pain, is known as chronic pain. This type of pain continues long after the injury heals, serves no useful purpose, and becomes a ‘disease’ in and of itself.
Our Pain Management Specialist, Dr. Timothy Sternberg, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified, multi-licensed pain management sub-specialist with over 20 years of advanced pain management experience. Dr. Sternberg is consistently at the forefront of care in pain management techniques.
